Solana Presents on Machine Learning at SERENE RISC Workshop

Solana Networks gave the keynote presentation at the recent SERENE RISC workshop held at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa Oct 25-26, 2017. Speaking at the keynote session, Solana president Nabil Seddigh, gave a talk titled "Machine Learning - the panacea for cyber security threats? - Thoughts from the industry"

Attended by 130 participants from across Canada, the workshop brought together cyber-security professionals from academia, industry and government to share learning and best practices as well as discuss issues and challenges to be addressed within the context of Cyber Security in Canada.  

Solana's presentation explored the evolution of cyber security solutions and implementation of machine learning and anomaly detection within cyber security tools, discussing the successes, issues and challenges faced within the cyber security industry.

Solana's experience with machine learning and anomaly detection was acquired over the last 8 years as it experimented with a diversity of machine learning algorithms to gauge their suitability for use in its SmartFlow Anomaly Detection product.
