Nabil Seddigh - President

Nabil Seddigh has over 22 years experience working in the IT and Telecommunication industry. During his career, he has held key positions in product development, advanced technology and consulting services, working in the roles of project manager, system architect, business analyst, researcher and software developer.

Since co-founding Solana Networks in 2003, Nabil has focused on delivering client and product solutions in areas related to cyber security, wireless networks and network performance monitoring. During this time, Nabil has worked closely with Enterprise Networks, Service Providers and OEM clients to deploy robust solutions meeting their requirements.

Prior to Solana, Nabil developed innovative technology and products for companies such as Nortel Networks, Telesat and Tropic Networks. His areas of focus included MPLS, IP Quality of Service and Network Congestion Control.

Nabil holds a B.Eng (Computer Engineering) from the University of Waterloo with an option in Management Science as well as a M.A.Sc (Systems and Computer Engineering) from Carleton University. He is the holder of 16 patents and has authored over 35 publications in the area of cyber security and IP network protocols/architecture.

Dr. Biswajit Nandy - Chief Technology Officer

With 22 years of experience in the telecommunication industry, Biswajit Nandy brings extensive expertise in IP networking to his job at Solana Networks. At Solana Biswajit is focused on technology development for network topology discovery & mapping, network & traffic monitoring and security monitoring solutions. He was previously with Nortel Networks and worked extensively in the area of IP Quality of Service (QoS), congestion control and protocol performance. Biswajit gained valuable expertise in networking startups during his time with Tropic Networks and Belair Networks. He is also an Adjunct Research Professor with the Systems and Computer Engineering Department at Carleton University, Canada. Biswajit has authored more than 50 papers in international conferences and journals and holds 20 granted US patents in the area of IP networking.

Biswajit received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from Jadavpur University, Calcutta and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. He holds a PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada.

Nisan Rowhani - VP Product Management

Nisan Rowhani has more than 20 years experience in product management and product marketing in the telecommunications industry.

Prior to founding Solana Networks Nisan served as a Product Line Manager at JDS Uniphase. He successfully managed the introduction of many new optical components from product launch to full-scale production. He has a proven record of capturing and delivering on new business opportunities having managed product lines with revenues of over US$100 million annually. Nisan holds a B.A.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Ottawa and is a member of the Associations for Professional Engineers of Ontario.
