Solana Networks conducts Study on Next Generation DNS for City of Ottawa

Solana Networks has been awarded a contract to study next generation DNS (Domain Name Service) solutions for the City of Ottawa. The work involves analyzing the current DNS and DHCP network architecture as well as evaluating industry standards, trends and direction. The final output of this study will be to provide the City with recommendations regarding next generation DNS services and products as well as terms of reference for the new solution to be deployed on their network.

The City of Ottawa IT network includes 10,000 users spread across multiple sites in the 4th largest city in Canada. The City’s IT department is involved in a multi-year exercise to renew the IT infrastructure while expanding the range of e-services provided to the citizens of Ottawa.
